Police on the streets again in Duindorp, The Hague | Inland

In recent days, a group of young people caused nuisance, especially in the area around the Tesselseplein and the Pluvierstraat. Friday evening the mobile unit had to be involved. With traffic checks, the police tried to keep people who did not need to be in Duindorp out on Friday evening. For a moment it became restless again when fireworks and stones were thrown at the police. A bus shelter has also been destroyed. After the action of the mobile unit, it became quiet around midnight. No arrests have been made.

On Wednesday evening, a number of young people started a fire and the windows of an HTM bus were smashed. The following evening, containers were set on fire and two police vehicles pelted with bottles. Last year in particular, there was a lot of nuisance in Duindorp, which is located near the beach and harbor of Scheveningen. After the municipality had not given permission for the traditional bonfires it was very restless for days and there was a lot of aggression and violence.
