Police Officers Arrested with Bribe of Two Boxes of Lukanka: Latest Update

Two police officers from the Fifth RU-Plovdiv were arrested last night with two boxes of lukanka as a bribe. Their little names are Georgi and Gruyu.

The prosecutor’s office confirmed to “24 Chasa” about the arrest of the two uniformed men, but refused to specify the amount of the bribe, saying that it was ridiculous.

A reporter’s investigation found that Gruyu and Georgi received two boxes of lukanka for the holidays. They were the subject of an investigation by the “Internal Security” of the Ministry of the Interior for being involved in the sale of fuel by running a business with distributors. While listening to them, they also discovered the arrangement for the bribe. Thus, they were caught red-handed at the moment of receiving them. According to their colleagues, if their value is calculated, it is no more than 200-300 BGN. “It’s really funny,” commented uniformed.

There is no official information about the case from the police in Plovdiv, and the director Georgi Chergov, as well as the press center, do not answer their phones.

The prosecutor’s office does not specify whether they will be detained for 72 hours. This is not the first case of such a bribe in Plovdiv. In 2019, three traffic police inspectors were detained with a bribe in the form of a bribe. At the end of October this year The Supreme Court of Cassation handed down effective sentences for Stanko Milushev, Paun Tenev and Dimitar Yanakiev for 3 and 2 years, respectively. The punishments are already being carried out.
