Police officer was beaten near Kharkov – the attacker faces up to 5 years in prison

It is noted that at about 14:00 the duty officer of the Kharkiv district administration received a message about a man who behaved inappropriately near a rural store. He threw himself at passers-by and set his dog on them.

The law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found a 34-year-old local resident who behaved aggressively and did not react to comments. At what point the man approached one of the policemen and hit him in the face with his head. The victim was taken to hospital.

On the fact of an attack on a police officer, information was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 345 (threat or violence against a law enforcement officer) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The man was detained. The issue of informing him about the suspicion of a criminal offense is being resolved. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
