Police Officer Shoots Man with Knife in Higashiyodogawa Ward, Osaka – Recent Incident under Investigation

Around 0:50 am on the 30th, a police officer on patrol called 110 on the street in Higashiyodogawa Ward, Osaka, saying, “I fired a pistol at a man with a knife.”

According to the police, there were a 46-year-old male lieutenant and a 31-year-old female police officer at the scene at the time, and when they tried to question the man on the bicycle, they ran away for about 200 meters and took a knife from the rucksack. It means that I took out something like that and thrust it at me.

For this reason, the chief constable tied the wings from behind and the lieutenant inspector warned, “Throw away the knife, I’ll shoot you.”

The man injured his leg and was taken to the hospital after being arrested on suspicion of obstructing official duty.

Yasuhiro Yamada (37), whose address and occupation are unknown, was arrested, and according to investigative sources, there is no life-threatening condition.
