Police officer shocked: tuk-tuk in India drags no fewer than 27 passengers

A tuk-tuk normally accommodates three people, but can be expanded up to a maximum of six passengers, the BBC writes on its website.

According to the Times of India newspaper, police were “shocked” by the sheer number of occupants (video: see tweet below). The driver had tried to escape when the police officer tried to stop him for exceeding the speed limit. The tuk tuk has been seized.

Fatehpur is a city of 150,000 inhabitants in Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state.
