According to a Channel A report on the 24th, a man named A was caught illegally filming at a supermarket in Seongdong-gu, Seoul on the 11th. The person who witnessed the scene and caught the criminal was Constable Moon So-woon from the Eungbong Police Station of Seongdong Police Station.
Police Officer Moon visited the supermarket on the 11th, a closed day, and witnessed the crime. He said, “I saw her putting a cell phone camera under the skirt of a woman who was looking at things and then running away.”
On CCTV, police officer Moon, dressed comfortably, was captured holding Mr. A’s wrist and talking to a passerby. After hearing Police Officer Moon’s words, the passerby took out his cell phone and made a call.
When police officer Moon asked why he was filming illegally, Mr. A said “I never filmed it” and “I was shopping” and shook the tea bag in his hand. When Police Officer Moon took out his police ID card, Mr. A explained, “I was just curious so I took a picture.”
As a result of the police investigation, illegal footage was found on Mr. A’s cell phone. The police are investigating Mr. A on charges of violating the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.
