A police officer was hit in the head several times with a fist during the night from Saturday to Sunday. That happened when he wanted to separate two quarreling men in Tilburg. The officer suffered head injuries.
The officer cycled across the Korte Heuvel around ten past three at night, where he saw two men fighting in front of a café. One of the men hit the other with clenched fists. The officer approached the men to separate them. One of the men then hit him in the head several times with a clenched fist.
The suspect is a 21-year-old man from Tilburg. He was immediately arrested.
The officer suffered injuries to his forehead. He also had a sore right eye and a headache. He went to the GP for treatment.
