Police looking for suspect in killing of four people in Ohio

Four people were shot to death, including a mother and her daughter, in a small town in Ohio.

Police received reports of shots in Butler Township, just north of Dayton, shortly before noon Friday, Butler Township Police Chief John Porter said during a news conference Friday.

They found the bodies of four victims in various locations, Porter described.

Police are looking for 39-year-old Steven Alexander Marlow in connection with the homicides.

The man is described as 5’11” (180 centimeters), 160 pounds (72 kilos), brown hair, blue eyes, and possibly driving a white 2007 Ford Edge with JES 9806 plates.

He was last seen wearing shorts and a yellow jersey.

“If anyone sees Marlow or the vehicle, they should call 911 immediately as it is likely armed and dangerous,” Porter told reporters.

“This is the first violent crime in this neighborhood in recent history,” he added.

One man mentioned WHICH that her daughter and granddaughter were among the victims.

There was a large police presence at the scene of the shooting on Friday afternoon.

WHICH reported that police had sealed off two houses on Hardwicke Place with crime-scene tape.

Butler Township is a town of just under 8,000 people about eight miles north of Dayton.
