The police managed to arrest the first suspect after a chase that had already started in Belgium. That happened on the Antwerpseweg, which runs right through Rijsbergen, writes Broadcasting Brabant.
Warning shots were fired during the arrest. But the two people who were also in the car in question fled into the village. The police then started a major search with more than seventy officers. Police dogs and a drone were also used.
The second suspect was arrested around 6:50 p.m. This person was injured because a police dog had bitten him.
