Weekend 26./7. June happened at the police in Linz: A BMW driver slowed down a following car. There was a fight in a Linz restaurant. A relationship dispute threatened to escalate in Bad Hönningen. Finally, a 19-year-old was found drugged in traffic in Linz.
Coercion in traffic
Unkel-Tears. Saturday afternoon, around 3 p.m., a road user on the B42 – at the Scheuren junction in the direction of Bonn – was heavily forced by the driver of a BMW driving ahead. The driver of the gray BMW must have slowed down the victim who followed, out of malice, so that a collision could only be prevented by the injured person’s braking maneuver. Possible witnesses to the incident are asked to report to the Linz police station. The investigations into the responsible driver are ongoing.
Assault in a restaurant in Linz
Linz. Early on Sunday morning the Linz police were called to a bar fight in a Linz restaurant. In the previous brawl, the accused is said to have hit his victim in the face several times with his fist and even attacked the victim with a hammer in his hand. The 26-year-old thug, who had already appeared to the police, escaped from the pub and could no longer be found in the further course. Possible witnesses to the incident who were previously in the pub or who can provide information about the perpetrator’s whereabouts are asked to contact the Linz police.
Relationship quarrel
Bad Hönningen. On Sunday evening, the police in Linz were informed via an emergency call that a woman was calling for help from a window of an apartment building in Bad Hönningen. You are holding a suitcase in your hand that you hold out the window. The police officers who arrived discovered that it was a very intense and emotional argument between a 31-year-old man and his partner of the same age. At this point in time, no criminal acts had taken place, but an escalation was to be feared due to the heated situation. The participants also saw it that way and agreed for the first time that evening. United in the belief that it would be better to spend the night separately. A friend of the woman picked them up in the presence of the police officers. The thanks the caller for the early and attentive notification. This prevented a possible escalation.
Driving under the influence of drugs
Linz. In the course of a traffic control on Sunday afternoon, typical drug symptoms were found in the driver of a car. A urine test positive for THC confirmed the officials in their assumption. Continuing the journey was prohibited. The 19-year-old, who has already appeared for drug offenses, has to expect his driving license to be withdrawn and a heavy fine.
