The Police Regional Office-13, led by Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II, participated in the annual observance of Panaad 2023 in Barangay Anticala, Butuan City, on Good Friday. The event saw people from different walks of life gather on the side streets and highways in downtown Butuan as early as 2 a.m. to join the religious activity. Participants walked five kilometers from the foot of the mountain to the 14th Station of the Cross. Police officers, family members, friends, elders, and other government agencies, including the Philippine Army, local government units, force multipliers, and barangay intelligence networks were present at the event to provide security measures and assistance.
Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II emphasized the significance of the occasion and urged everyone to make use of the time to commemorate the love of Jesus Christ for us and ask for his divine providence in keeping the region safe and sound. In addition to participating in the Panaad 2023 in Barangay Anticala, the police personnel also joined the observance at the PRO-13 headquarters in Camp Rafael C. Rodriguez in Butuan City.
