The police are looking for an escaped hospital worker. Henk E., 61, was on leave when he was caught on July 4 in a burglary in a holiday home in Zoutelande in Zeeland. He then managed to escape.
E. was sentenced to six years in prison and TBS in 1998 for multiple violent crimes. He was in the last phase of his TBS trajectory in the De Blink socialization house in Rotterdam. In the resocialization house, which is part of the Kijvelanden TBS clinic in Poortugaal, clients are prepared for their return to society.
“The residents are usually free to go wherever they want. So there is more freedom than in a closed facility like the Kijvelanden.
