Police issue detection report for escaped TBS officer

The police are looking for an escaped hospital worker. Henk E., 61, was on leave when he was caught on July 4 in a burglary in a holiday home in Zoutelande in Zeeland. He then managed to escape.

E. was sentenced to six years in prison and TBS in 1998 for multiple violent crimes. He was in the last phase of his TBS trajectory in the De Blink socialization house in Rotterdam. In the resocialization house, which is part of the Kijvelanden TBS clinic in Poortugaal, clients are prepared for their return to society.

“The residents are usually free to go wherever they want. So there is more freedom than in a closed facility like the Kijvelanden. But there is still some control,” said a spokesperson for Fivoor, where Kijvelanden and De Blink under fall, against Rijnmond. He couldn’t say how far E. was in his treatment.

It is unknown where E. currently resides. According to the police, he was seen in the center of Rotterdam today. “Since July 4, everything has been done to find him, but our resources are now exhausted,” said a spokesman for justice. “That’s why we have this investigation notice Scattered.”

The police call on people who have seen the man or know where he is to contact him directly. “Do not approach him yourself, but call the free detection tip immediately.”
