Jakarta –
The police returned to Blok G Market Brother Land, Central Jakarta (Jakpus), which is suspected of being a place for drug consumption. Police found bottles of mineral water allegedly similar to bongs used to consume methamphetamine.
“One (bong), if you just found a bottle of mineral water with two straws on the lid, that’s all,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin when contacted, Friday (7/7/2023).
The bong methamphetamine-like bottle was then taken to the Mako Polsek Brother Land. During the two-day search, no signs of human activity were found there.
“After combing it yesterday, there were no signs of activity. Judging from the dust, there were no footprints, etc. Then just now I got information on the 2nd floor saying there was a photo of the bong,” he said.
Komarudin said that his party would investigate the findings. Including exploring the news that there is a den of drugs.
“We will investigate, because according to information circulating that it is used as a den for drugs, that’s why we have to investigate whether it is true or not it is used as a den for drugs,” he said.
“If it’s a drug den, it means that everyone uses drugs there every day. Meanwhile, what we found earlier was what friends who saw there showed, oh yes, mineral water bottles have straws, similar to those used,” he continued.
Previously, Acting (Acting) Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono admitted to hearing news that Block G Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta (Jakpus), was a place for drug consumption. Heru Budi asked the Mayor of Central Jakarta to check the information to ensure it was correct.
“Block G of Tanah Abang, will be the place… later with the Mayor, the Polres, they will be asked to check it,” said Heru in Sunter, North Jakarta.
From information circulating, drug users and drinkers of liquor (alcohol) use the 2nd and 3rd floors of Blok G Tanah Abang Market. The two floors had long been empty and abandoned.
Heru conveyed that checking the information would involve elements of the police, namely the Central Jakarta Metro Police. Heru explained that the involvement of the police was because reports related to drugs and alcohol parties entered the realm of crime.
“If it’s related to crime, yes Polres,” he said.
