“What was reported by Kranji residents was related to unrest, activities carried out by one of the community groups there, but this is being investigated,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bekasi Metro Police, Kompol Ivan Adhitira when asked for confirmation on Thursday (19/5/2022). ).
According to Ivan, the police will investigate suspected criminal acts carried out by the organization. According to him, this report was also accompanied by local RT and RW.
“What investigations were carried out, what the allegations were about, what the alleged criminal customer was, are still our investigations,” he said.
“The head of the RT or RW has also accompanied the residents to report,” he continued.
Youth Organizations Are Uneasy about the Existence of Intimidating Organizations
Previously, Karang Taruna RW 06, Kranji Village, West Bekasi, Bekasi City, reported one of the mass organizations to the police. They report because they feel uneasy about the existence of mass organizations in their environment which often intimidate them.
The representative of the Youth Organization for RW 06, Kranji, Dimas Galih, said that the reporting problem began with an alleged threat to youth organizations. The youth organization will initially carry out a work program to provide cleaning and security fees to street vendors (PKL) in the area.
“We were just working on our work program related to MSMEs, then suddenly this mass organization objected. Because we suspected that we were taking their land. We were just talking about it, we just socialized it to street vendors on Monday, the 16th,” said Galih when contacted detik.com, Thursday (19/5).
