“The police have responded and will investigate the case,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the South Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Ridwan Soplanit when contacted, Saturday (12/18/2021).
The rape incident was said to have occurred on Thursday (16/12) in the morning in the South Jakarta area. A number of evidences are being collected by the police to solve the case.
According to Ridwan, currently his party has pocketed the identity of the victim. Investigators will visit the victim’s residence to clarify the incident.
“Now the members are still on the move. We have got the victim’s address, we don’t know the cellphone number. We are still going there to the victim’s place, we will confirm starting from the chronology and it is true that we have reported to the police and so on,” explained Ridwan.
Ridwan ensured that his party would follow up on the information that is currently being crowded on social media. The case is still under investigation.
“So it will take a little while longer. I have divided the tasks. Those who get victim data go there and check whether there is an LP (police report). What is clear is that the police have responded,” he said.
