NEW YORK — Authorities are investigating a shooting that left three injured and one dead early Monday morning in the Bronx, New York City Police said.
According to the police report, the uniformed officers received an emergency call at about 2:44 am about a shooting in the area of 255 East Burnside Avenue. Upon arrival, police said, they found a 34-year-old man with a wound to his torso, a 23-year-old with a gunshot wound to the leg and a 37-year-old with a foot wound.
The 23-year-old victim and the 37-year-old were transported to area hospitals in stable condition, police said. However, the 34-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police later confirmed that a fourth victim, 32, arrived at the hospital on her own with a gunshot wound to the back and in stable condition.
The case remains under investigation and so far there have been no arrests.
