Captain Andrea D’Elia is the new commander of the municipal police of Lower Nocera. This is an interim, temporary assignment, pending the announcement and completion of a notice for an annual assignment. Not a long-term regency, one presumes, but not a quick one either. It is likely that D’Elia will be responsible for managing the summer months and then in the autumn we will understand how things will evolve.
The mayor’s decree Paolo De Maio it was signed yesterday and confirms the rumors from the day before. In the aftermath of the question published last week, with a deadline of March 29, in fact, it was clear that there would be a fairly limited competition. Given the approach of retirement for Mario Caso, who previously held the command on several occasions, and having discarded the ambitions of another couple of internals with the same requirements, the circle of names was restricted to two people: D’Elia, precisely, and Mario Russo, who had acted as commander in the nearby town Sant’Egidio del Monte Albino.
In the end, only one candidacy arrived, that of D’Elia, for which yesterday the mayor issued the decree without even holding the interview foreseen in the internal selection notice. In the appointment provision, the mayor highlights «professional experiences and skills, attitudes, results achieved in relation to the achievement of objectives and the capacity for management and organizational integration».
