Police in Lower Franconia: Less crime during the corona crisis

Theft, break-ins and physical injuries: The police have recently found significantly fewer crimes. However, there is a big question mark about domestic violence.

Apparently there have been fewer crimes in Lower Franconia in the past few months than in the same period in previous years. This was announced by the police at their annual press conference on the safety record on Friday in Wrzburg. In many areas of crime, the numbers have dropped noticeably, reported crime director Holger Baumbach. However, these are not yet “hard numbers”, but first trends. Baumbach sees the reasons for the reduced crime in the corona crisis, for example the number of thefts has decreased because stores had just closed.
