Police in London dispersed the crowds. On the eve of the lockdown, they took to the streets en masse

During Wednesday, the British police urged citizens to keep their social distances if they went somewhere on Wednesday evening. Nevertheless, some disobeyed the call and were still scattered by the police around midnight. “The restaurants closed at 22:00, go home,” Soho police officers told the individuals.

In the United Kingdom, similar rules apply from Thursday as in the Czech Republic. This keeps all restaurant facilities closed, as well as shops that are not absolutely necessary. Exceptions were given to pharmacies and grocery stores. Private celebrations also got a stop.

The British government urged citizens to stay at home if possible. They can go to work or school and individual outdoor sports, such as jogging, are also allowed.

The United Kingdom has the highest number of fatal cases in Europe (47,832), with an additional 20,000 daily cases. According to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the lockdown will automatically expire on December 3.
