Wuerzburg. After an attack on a young woman, the police have now identified a 40-year-old as an urgent suspect. On the morning of March 5, a 22-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in downtown Würzburg (we reported). After the police headquarters in Lower Franconia reported on the case, a witness came forward and provided crucial information. As reported, the 22-year-old was on her way home in the city on that Saturday morning. In the area of the residence, she became aware of a man who was apparently following her.
The woman continued on her way across the Ringpark to Valentin-Becker-Strasse. When she arrived at her home address at around 4:40 a.m., the man physically attacked her in the hallway.

He forced her to the ground and apparently tried to kiss her. After the 22-year-old defended herself and called for help, the perpetrator fled on foot. An immediately initiated search was unsuccessful. The further investigations in the case were subsequently taken over by the Würzburg criminal police. After the police called for witnesses, a witness came forward who had apparently become aware of the fleeing perpetrator. Her tip led to further evidence and the identification of an urgent suspect. It is a 40-year-old who lives in the northern Black Forest region in Baden-Württemberg.
