JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV Police are hunting for the creator of the mural ‘Jokowi 404: Not Found’.

Police said the mural maker desecrated the state emblem, but the remarks were not in accordance with the Law (UU).

As previously noted, a mural appeared in Batuceper, Tangerang City, Banten.

The mural shows the face of someone who looks like President Joko Widodo with the words ‘404: Not Found’.

The local police along with the TNI and sub-district officials immediately removed the mural.

“It’s been three or four days, yes. So the Kapolsek, from the sub-district, then the Koramil has removed it,” said Head of the Tangerang City Police Public Relations Subdivision Kompol Abdul Rachim to the media crew, Friday (13/4/2021).

Rachim assessed that the mural makers violated the law because they insulted President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as a symbol of the country.

“It remains to be investigated who did it. After all, it’s a symbol of the state, right,” said Rachim.

He said his party would act directly without waiting for a report because the president as the supreme commander of the TNI and Polri should not be harassed.
