Police Hunt Audi Driver Suspected in Accident That Kills Cianjur Student

The driver of the black Audi, Sugeng Guruh, has been named as a suspect in the accident case that killed Selvi Amalia Nuraeni, a student of Law Faculty at Suryakencana University (Unsur) Cianjur. Now the black Audi driver is on the wanted list (DPO).

“This suspect had an attempt to escape. We will assign a DPO to the person concerned,” said the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, Kombes Pol Ibrahim Tompo, quoted by detikJabar, Saturday (28/1/2023).

Ibrahim appealed to the suspect to turn himself in and be held accountable for his actions. He said his party would take firm steps if the suspect obstructed the investigation process.

“We urge the suspect to immediately turn himself in and take responsibility. If not, we will take firm steps and apply additional articles to him for being uncooperative and hindering the investigation process,” he said.

For his actions the suspect was charged with Article 310 paragraph 4 junto article 312 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 2009 concerning traffic and public transportation with a penalty of 6 years in prison.

Previously reported, an accident occurred on Friday (20/1/2023) afternoon, Selvi Amalia Nuraeni, died after being run over by a car on Jalan Raya Bandung-Cianjur. However, the perpetrator fled immediately after the accident.
