JAKARTA – The National Police Headquarters deployed an internal team from Itwasum and Paminal Propam Polri to conduct an examination of the South Sumatra (Sumsel) Police Chief Inspector General Eko Indra Heri. The examination was carried out regarding the case of donations of Rp. 2 trillion from Akidi Tio.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, explained that the internal examination was carried out to find out clearly related to the issue of the alleged fraudulent donation of Rp. 2 trillion from the late Akidi Tio.
“Secondly, the South Sumatra Police Chief from the National Police Headquarters has dispatched an internal team from Itwasum, Laminal Propam. We want to be clear about what the case really is,” said Argo in a virtual press conference at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Wednesday (4/8/2021).

Argo said that currently the internal inspection is ongoing. Therefore, he asked for time for his staff to explore this.
“We are waiting for internal clarifications from the investigation and internal police headquarters,” said Argo.
