In August, the American Virginia Giuffre filed a lawsuit against the son of the British queen Elizabeth II. claiming that he had sexually abused her several times before she was eighteen. Prince Andrew has long denied any relationship with Giuffre.
–
Giuffre claims that Prince Andrew abused her in London, New York and on the private island of American financier Jeffrey Epstein, whom he also claims forced her to have sex with.
–
Sixty-six-year-old Epstein committed suicide in prison in August 2019, shortly after being arrested on suspicion of sexual crimes.

“The police have checked the information they received from the media in June and will not take any further action,” said a police spokeswoman, adding that the British police are in contact with the security forces of other countries dealing with the Epstein cases.
–
According to The Sunday Times, British police interrogated Giuffre last week over the allegations of a member of the British royal family.

The prince denied everything
At the end of 2019, Andrew denied in an interview with the BBC that he had an affair with Giuffre, and claimed that he did not even realize that he would ever meet her.
–
Photographs of the two standing side by side later appeared in the media. However, the 61-year-old prince withdrew from public life due to his contacts with Epstein.
–
Andrew’s lawyers were given permission last week to look into a 2009 secret agreement between Epstein and Giuffre. Lawyers hope the content of the document will clear the prince’s name, Reuters writes.
