Police have found Therese’s DNA profile

It appears in the new documentary series « Therese – the girl who disappeared », Which shows on NRK from Sunday. The nine-year-old Therese Johannessen disappeared without a trace from Fjell in Drammen on 3 July 1988.

– DNA from Therese has been found on a pillowcase and on an eraser, and it is these two who together then gave us a profile, says Kjell Johan Abrahamsen, prosecutor in the Southeast police district to NRK.

This means that the police can identify Therese if she should show up or if remains are found after her.

The documentary series also reveals that the police have closed the much-discussed Pakistani track.

Therese’s mother was in a relationship with a Pakistani man before she met Therese’s biological father. The clue was that someone must have thought that Therese was the daughter of the Pakistani man, and that his family had abducted the girl. The police have no indications or clues to believe this.

The series states that the man and his family have experienced the suspicions of abduction as a burden for several years.
