Police hand out 153 tickets to a large group of motorcyclists

Police this afternoon issued a total of 153 fines to motorcyclists who committed a variety of traffic offenses.

Fines were issued for driving without a helmet, standing still on the roadway, standing still on the hard shoulder, driving against the direction of travel, setting off fireworks and ringing the bell while driving.

The group consisted of 300 motorcyclists at different times. Due to the size of the group, the police have opted to issue a license plate for the offenses.
