Police Found Child Pornography Material On Donny M’s Phone Last Year But Did Not Detect It | NOW

Earlier last year, police found child pornography on the cell phone of Donny M., a suspect in the murder of nine-year-old Gino. He was not arrested at the time and no further investigations were initiated.

A spokesman for the judiciary confirmed the news regarding The Limburger. When the police found the child pornography, they knew of M.’s sexual history he had already been convicted of fornication with a minor. Despite this, the police left him alone last year.

The cell phone with child pornography ended up in a police bin, according to the judiciary. Then the phone was neglected.

When M. was arrested in June of this year for the murder of Gino, a nine-year-old boy, the police began to search the systems. At that point the cell phone reappeared and the phone was involved in the investigation.

Gino disappeared from a playground in Kerkrade on June 1st. On 4 June, following M.’s instructions, his body was found near a burned-down house in Geleen. M. had been arrested the night before. Justice suspects him of having kidnapped, sexually abused and killed Gino. M. confessed and will appear again in court on 5 December.
