Officers fired shots in Leeuwarden last night at the arrest of a man who probably had a firearm with him.
The police received a report around 8.30 p.m. that the man was in a cafeteria with a weapon. Once on the spot, the suspect would have shot and fled on foot, a police spokeswoman reported to the ANP news agency. “The colleagues then went after him, where they also fired shots.”
Police said on Twitter that the suspect was injured. The man has been taken to hospital. He is the only one injured.
