The police suspect, this case is the theft of a corpse.

Police found flip-flops at the site of an uncovered grave.
The police finally confiscated the sandals.
“We have carried out the crime scene processing, and have also confiscated a number of evidence in the grave including the flip-flops in the uncovered grave,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Asian Police Parepare Iptu Sihombing.
Officers examined a number of witnesses regarding the alleged theft of this corpse.
They also visited the family of the Covid-19 patient who was declared missing.

Parepare Police Chief AKBP Welly Abdillah emphasized that he would take firm action against the perpetrators of the demolition of the tombs.
