A 45-year-old man from Rotterdam is detained after the police found 75 kilos of cocaine, 1.5 million euros and a firearm in his house. The stuff has been confiscated. He is suspected of drug trafficking, money laundering and firearms possession, the justice department announced on Friday.
In the same investigation, the police on Monday arrested three men aged 21, 43 and 53 with no permanent residence or residence on suspicion of drug trafficking. The police did this on the basis of information from the so-called Argus investigation into the encrypted messaging service Sky ECC, which the police managed to crack.
The four men were brought before the examining magistrate on Thursday. He has decided that they will be detained for fourteen days longer.
This also applies to the suspects who were arrested on Tuesday in the Rotterdam region on the basis of reports that the police could read on Sky Ecc. During searches in Rotterdam, 27 firearms, twenty knives, seventy telephones (including crypto telephones), twelve cars, two boats, a jet ski, large sums of money and narcotics were seized.
These six suspects are men between the ages of 28 and 55 and come from Rotterdam, Rozenburg, Dordrecht and Capelle aan den IJssel. They are suspected of corruption, drug trafficking, possession of firearms and participation in a criminal organization.
