Police Federation against ELAS leadership: “Has anyone considered leaving the chair?” – 2024-04-05 16:11:04

To carry out an urgent prosecutorial investigation regarding the responsibilities for the femicide in front of the AT Agioi Anargyroi asks the Federation of Police Employees. In its statement, POASY calls on the judiciary to also investigate the responsibilities of the House’s leadership, as “it cannot always be the fault of the policemen and the traffic wardens…”, as they point out.

P.O.A.S.Y. expresses its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased Kyriaki who was murdered outside the A.T. Agioi Anargyro. It is clear, however, that official omissions – responsibilities will be sought and attributed by Mr. Prosecutor.

At the same time, however, P.O.A.S.Y. he has a duty to both society and the police officers he represents to speak up loud and clear and let them all take their responsibilities.

We ask the Head of the Athens District Attorney’s Office – since we have no longer received the necessary answers to our piles of reports and documents from the Greek Police officials – TO ORDER AN URGENT INVESTIGATION into who or who are responsible for:

1) Are the Police Departments “operating” with 1/3 of the intended police force?

2) Many Security Departments do not have a police force as a result, especially in Western Attica, they close at 10 pm?

3) It remains a “state secret” how many Direct Action patrol cars cover Attica as a whole and how many should adequately and safely cover the country’s capital and in general the Basin with half the country’s population, where approximately 50% of the police force serves ;

Let Mr. Prosecutor finally call and the leading executives to be asked what they know about all this and what is really to blame? Because it cannot always be the fault of the policemen and the traffic wardens…

We remind, because we have debt. Since the summer of last year, in New Philadelphia a sports fan died, in Nicea a policeman died from a hooligan, in Thessaloniki a policeman died (off-duty) in a cafe – partition with police service and now unfortunately in Agios Anargyros, femicide and even at the entrance of our “house” !

Has anyone claimed responsibility?

Did anyone even think for a moment to RESIGN, LEAVE THE CHAIR AND APOLOGIZE? To take responsibility?
