Police shoot one man to death and injure another; group of subjects rob a jewelry store in Manhattan
A man was shot dead after four police officers opened fire in Washington Heights early this morning.
The shooting took place at three in the morning this Sunday in Dyckman Street and Nagle Avenue.
According to police, three officers and a lieutenant were patrolling the neighborhood when they saw two people arguing.
One of them had a gun in his hand.
After repeatedly asking him to hand it over and refusing to do so, they shot him.
The man was then transported to a hospital in the area where he died.
The victim was a 29-year-old man currently on probation.
Police officers were not injured.
Another man was reportedly injured during the shooting.
On the spot, the authorities recovered the suspect’s weapon.
The incident remains under investigation.
