David said his party was still continuing to investigate the incident. This includes finding the identity of the mural maker or painter.
“We’re in the process of searching and researching,” David said.
The mural depicting Jokowi’s face is known to have been removed by the joint apparatus. use black paint.
Only Jokowi’s face is missing from the row of murals on the wall. Meanwhile, beside the deleted mural, another picture was left.
Although the mural has been removed, the police are still searching for the person who drew the mural on the wall.
“An investigation is still being carried out, to investigate the pictures. (The perpetrator) is still being sought, will still be sought,” said Head of Public Relations of the Tangerang City Metro Police, Kompol Abdul Rachim, Friday (13/8).
On the other hand, Abdul explained that the police removed the mural because they interpreted the Jokowi-like image as a symbol of the state and the highest leadership of the Bhayangkara Corps institution.
“We as state officials see that the President is made like that, it’s the head of the state, the symbol of the state. For the media, the appearance is different, the meaning of interpretation. For us, it’s the leader, the supreme commander of the TNI-Polri,” he said.
