Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Suspect of fraud and money laundering (TPPU) Indra Kesuma alias Indra Kenz once lost evidence and many of his assets were hidden.
Dirtipideksus Bareskrim Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan said the cellphone confiscated from Indra Kenz was a new cellphone. When it was dismantled, investigators could not find any clues on Indra Kenz’s new cellphone regarding Binomo.
“His cellphone is new, it’s a new cellphone. He said the old cellphone was lost, it wasn’t there. We dismantled it, there’s nothing, because he’s lost it, it looks like someone taught him,” said Whisnu as quoted from Detik.com, Thursday (17/17). 3/2022).
“He lost the evidence. When he wanted to take it, he said there was no cellphone, the computer was gone. If the cellphone was there, it could be seen, right, with the monitor,” continued Whisnu.
In addition, Whisnu suspects that Indra Kenz was taught by someone to eliminate evidence. He threatened to increase Indra Kenz’s sentence.
“By the time we wanted to confiscate, he already had a small account. Someone already taught him, that’s all, only Rp. 1.8 billion in his account, it has been moved,” explained Whisnu.
“It’s definitely aggravating (punishment),” he added.
Not only that, Indra is also suspected of having a team that helps hide accounts and transfer money.
“The direction is that there is a team of several people. Indra Kenz’s team helps hide the account, transfer the money, like that,” said the Director of Special Economic Crimes (Dirtipideksus) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Department Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan.
In this case, the police are known to have tracked the flow of Indra Kenz’s funds related to the alleged fraud case of the Binomo Application. A number of assets have been confiscated by the police, including houses, luxury cars and plots of land.
Therefore, he said, investigators will now investigate the involvement of the people who are members of the Indra Kenz team. According to him, it is possible that they could be suspects in this case.
“There are several colleagues. We will continue to follow up. If they meet two pieces of evidence,” he said.
It is known that the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police continues to investigate the mastermind behind the Binomo binary options application with the suspect Crazy Rich Medan, Indra Kenz. When questioned as a suspect, Indra Kenz was said to be still covering up the traces of the mastermind behind the application.
Currently, Bareskrim is still conducting further investigations. Bareskrim will later reveal who the mastermind is in the Binomo application.
