National Police agents carried out two raids during the early hours of this Thursday in Asunción and Luque. The proceedings were led by the prosecutor Sandra Ledesma.
In the proceedings, a structure allegedly dedicated to the theft and subsequent marketing of high-end phones, especially the iPhone brand, was disrupted.
Prosecutor Ledesma explained that her unit received several complaints of theft of high-end cell phones in Luque, for which an investigation was initiated in which it was detected that several of the stolen devices were going to the same location.
The representative of the Public Ministry mentioned that the disjointed scheme had a “quite sophisticated” job, since they had two laboratories, one of which was especially for iPhone phones and even had a microscope and gas welders.
