Police Detained Wife of Mother and Child Murderer in Kupang

KupangKOMPAS.com – Ira Ua, wife of Randy Badjideh, accused of murder of mother and child in Kota KupangEast Nusa Tenggara (NTT), was detained by officers from the Directorate General of Criminal Investigation at the NTT Police, Wednesday (25/5/2022) night.

Ira Ua was detained after being named a suspect in the case that killed Astri Manafe and her son Lael Maccabee.

The Head of Public Relations of the NTT Police, AKBP Aryasandi, said that Ira had been undergoing a marathon examination since Tuesday (24/5/2022) yesterday.

“Last night we were examined for six hours, then the examination was closed. Last night at 18.00 WITA, it started again until now. After the examination, we were detained,” said Aryasandi, to Kompas.comWednesday night.

NTT Police investigators, he continued, would complete the detention dossier for investigation purposes.

The detention will last for the next 20 days, pending the trial process that takes place at the Kupang District Court.
