Elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City arrested three people who are allegedly linked to extortion crimes, through ‘drop by drop’ loans, during an operation deployed in the mayors Benito Juárez, Miguel Hidalgo and Gustavo A. Maderoin which 260 thousand dollars were also seized.
The operation was carried out jointly with the National Intelligence Center, where two men and a woman identified as Yair “N”, José Gersain “N” and María Verónica “N”who transported large sums of money, product of extortion, in modified vehicles with hidden compartments.
The first arrest was made in the vicinity of a commercial plaza located on the Miguel Alemán Viaduct, Piedad Narvarte colonyBenito Juárez mayor’s office, where several people would deliver money.
As a result of the deployment of authorities in the capital, Yair “N” was arrested when he was traveling on a blue motorcycle and was caught handing a suitcase to the crew of a white vehicle who, upon noticing the police presence, accelerated the march.

Meanwhile, the vehicle was followed up, which was hit at the intersection of Ejército Nacional avenue and Bahía Coqui street, in the Anzures neighborhood, Miguel Hidalgo mayor’s office, where José Gersain “N” and María Verónica “N” were arrested. from whom they seized 240 doses of cocaine, three cell phones and approximately 99 thousand US dollars.
Simultaneously, the capital police executed a search warrant in a building located at 529 avenue, San Juan de Aragón neighborhood I Section, Gustavo A. Madero mayor’s office, where 50 doses of marijuana, 100 cocaine wrappers, approximately 60 thousand dollars were seized Americans, a van equipped with hidden compartments, a bill counter and various documentation.
The three people arrested were placed at the disposal of a Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Attorney General’s Office who will follow up on the inquiries and define their legal situation.
