Bareskrim Polri officially detained Henry Surya in the case of Money Laundering Crimes (TPPU) and falsification of documents in the case of the Savings and Loans Cooperative or KSP Indosurya.
“March 13, 2023 investigator has determined or determined HS as a suspect. On March 14, investigators arrested HS at the Kuningan Resident, South Jakarta, and investigators certainly applied a different article to the one handled before,” said Karo Penmas Polri Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan in a press conference, Thursday (16/3).
“Henry will be detained at the Bareskrim Polri Detention Center for the next twenty days,” Ramadhan said.
As is known, the determination of this suspect became a new chapter for Henry Surya after he was acquitted by the court in the case of embezzlement of KSP Indosurya customer funds.
Kasubdit III Directorate of Special Economic Crimes Bareskrim Polri Kombes Robertus Yohanes Dedeo said Henry was officially named a suspect from the results of the case titles that had been carried out by investigators.
Henry Surya was named a suspect after the Bareskrim Polri opened another investigation into the Indosurya case, after the West Jakarta District Court handed down a acquittal verdict for the defendants in the case.
The investigation this time is related to the alleged crime of placing and/or providing false information in authentic deeds, as well as using fake letters and money laundering crimes (TPPU).
The officials who were acquitted were the Chairman of KSP Indosurya Henry Surya and Director of Finance June Indria. This case harmed 23 thousand people with a total loss of IDR 106 trillion.
June was first acquitted on Wednesday (18/1) at the District Court (West Jakarta District Court). Then, Henry was later sentenced to acquittal by the West Jakarta District Court today, Tuesday (24/1).
