Police postponing the title of case for alleged violation of the Covid-19 health protocol at the wedding of the daughter of the High Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab in Petamburan, Central Jakarta, some time ago.
Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said the postponement was scheduled for Thursday-Friday but was postponed because there was an inauguration and handover of the position of Kapolda Metro Jaya at Police Headquarters, Friday (20/11).
“The plan (case title) is this Thursday-Friday. But there is an activity to transfer the regional police chief, there is a handover at the Headquarters and Polda Metro with their busy schedule,” Awi told reporters at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta.
A case title needs to be done to ascertain whether the incident can be investigated further regarding the alleged criminal act.
Despite this, Awi admitted that he has not been able to ensure further implementation of the title of things done. Later, he said, the Metro Jaya Police will announce when there are developments in the case investigation.
“There is no schedule yet. The plan for Thursday-Friday turns out to be this (inauguration),” he concluded.
For information, the investigation has been started by asking for clarification by DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and eight other people at Polda Metro Jaya on Tuesday (17/11).
Anies was clarified to explain the crowd that emerged amidst the status of Jakarta in the transitional Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period.
The following day, the police asked for clarification from the head of the event committee and three other people.
Then this Friday, the police plan to request information from DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria, DKI Jakarta Kadinkes Widyastuti, senior manager of aviation security at Soetta Airport, as well as the chairperson.
