The South Jakarta Metro Police and the ranks of the Polsek carried out the control opposite motor. Several motorbikes going in the opposite direction at the Fatmawati traffic light (TL), Cilandak, South Jakarta, were forced to turn around by the police.
The Head of Cilandak Police, Kompol Wahid Key, said that this action was taken to anticipate and at the same time socialize the incident opposite motor. The control was carried out on Monday (28/8/2023) at 20.00 WIB.
“Earlier there were a number of people who went against the direction, we gave a warning and we ordered them to turn back,” said Kompol Wahid Key, to journalists, Monday (28/8/2023).
This control was carried out by the Cilandak Police together with the Head of the HR Division of the South Jakarta Metro Police and the Deputy for Narcotics of the South Jakarta Metro Police. The police are currently giving warnings to violators.
“When someone violates again, we will take action,” he added.
Wahid appealed to motorists, especially motorcyclists, to obey traffic rules and obey the existing signs. Going against the direction endangers safety.
“This dangerous action not only violates regulations, but also endangers the safety of the violator and other people,” he said.

Furthermore, Wahid Key asked the public to report to the hotline center 110 if they find any violations or disruptions to security and order.
“Our community asks them to report to 110 if they find disturbances from the law and order,” he said.

Meanwhile, Wahid Key revealed that there are 3 points prone to motorcycles going in the opposite direction in the Cilandak area. Here are the 3 points:
– From Citos to the TL Fatmawati intersection
– From the direction of Kebayoran Lama in TL Fatmawati towards Fatmawati Public Hospital
– From Blok M turn around at the end of Fatmawati TL intersection.
