Several cyclists in the Oberallgäu were picked up by the police with up to almost 2 per thousand alcohol in their blood. The man on the bike was checked in Kempten. In Bad Hindelang, however, the cyclist was found lying on the street.
Two people from Kempten drove on Sunday night, under the influence of alcohol, with their e-scooters through the urban area of Kempten. A breath alcohol test carried out showed a value of well over 0.5 per mille in each case. You can expect a fine of 500 euros and a month’s driving ban.
A 22-year-old from Kempten, who was also checked on his bicycle in the city, had consumed significantly more. A breath alcohol test showed 2 per mille and was thus well above the limit value of 1.6 per mille, from which a cyclist – even without additional symptoms of failure – is considered to be absolutely unfit to drive.

On Sunday morning in Vorderhindelang, a car driver discovered a cyclist lying next to the road. The bike was still stuck between the legs of the 30 year old. Apparently, the cyclist had previously fallen due to being heavily drunk and injured his face slightly. The alcohol test carried out gave a value of just under 2 per thousand. The cyclist is now awaiting a complaint for drunk driving.
