Then after some time, said Frans, there were members who drove the Patrol and Guard Police (Patwal) cars belonging to the Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the South Sulawesi Police at the scene. However, the person who brought the double-cabin police car did not pull over and just passed by. The footage of the incident also went viral.
“We have checked, the member is in a hurry. He wants to replace his colleague who is escorting him. However, the vehicle of his colleague who is about to be replaced has problems,” said Frans, Wednesday (15/12).
Nevertheless, said Frans, the member after leaving the scene immediately contacted the Bulukumba Police to handle the case. The reason is that the handling of traffic accidents is indeed in the hands of the local police.
“But it’s still wrong, where you should stop for a moment to help the victim. After that, continue the journey, including notifying the police to conduct a crime scene,” explained Frans.
Frans explained that every member of the police force when they find an incident or incident is obliged to take the First Action at the Place of Case (TPTKP).
“That’s what was wrong, it has been reprimanded, action has been taken. I have given a warning together with Kasat PJR, the car was withdrawn, the person was replaced, and the follow-up was examined at Propam. Accountable for his negligence on duty,” said Frans.
On the incident, Kombes Pol Frans also apologized to the community who judged the actions of police officers as inaccurate.
“He was also concerned when we asked he was sorry, why he didn’t stop at that time,” he concluded.
