The driver and his passenger fled on foot

The crazy car was actually fleeing a police check. Around 2:30 p.m., a crew spotted a Peugeot 206 on quai Paul-Sédaillian (Lyon 9th) and signaled the driver to stop. He had accelerated and rushed in the wrong direction onto the access ramp at Rochecardon.

The Peugeot was found, empty of its occupants, under the Caluire tunnel, in a recess. The driver and his passenger fled on foot, exiting through a door. The police started chasing them and managed to arrest them on the road to Wette Fays in Caluire. Aged 17 and 18 and residing in the 9th arrondissement, they were placed in police custody.

The driver had a license and was not drunk, which raises questions among investigators as to the reasons which pushed him to refuse to comply. Nothing suspicious was found either in the vehicle or on the accused. The investigation continues.
