Around three weeks after a woman in her 40s was charged with murdering her partner and internationally wanted, the police change the international wanted list.

The woman was originally wanted internationally as the accused. She is now wanted internationally as missing, says police attorney Ole Jacob Garder in the Søreast police district The daily newspaper.

The reason is that a search warrant requires that there be reasonable grounds for suspicion. The police have previously stated that the grounds for suspicion against the woman have been weakened during the investigation.

– It still applies, without us wanting to elaborate on this further, says Garder to the newspaper.

The woman still has status as the accused in the case. Legal aid attorney Ellen Holager Andenæs says that the family wants the charges to be dropped.

It was on 2 January that a man was found dead in Stavern, and his partner has not been found.
