RHEINHESSEN – Two drivers with drugs in their blood went to the police on Wednesday during priority checks on the A61. The officers checked the traffic between 3 and 10 p.m. at the Bad Kreuznach junction and at the passenger car park near Gau-Bickelheim.
Coming from the B 41 at the Bad Kreuznach junction, the police discovered drug-typical abnormalities in a 24-year-old sprinter driver at around 4.45 p.m. At about 6:59 p.m. they also checked a 26-year-old at the Gau-Bickelheim passenger car park who was driving his car. He, too, showed signs of drug use during the check-up. In both cases the pre-tests were positive. The drivers had to go to the office, where a blood sample was taken. You now expect at least a fine and a driving ban.
The officials found that a 23-year-old car driver did not pay any vehicle tax. A criminal complaint awaits him under the Motor Vehicle Tax Act. A 20-year-old must expect a complaint for violating the compulsory insurance law because he did not properly insure his car. The officers checked him at the passenger car park at Gau-Bickelheim.
A 56 year old man faces a fine for not properly securing a child in a child seat. A total of five defect reports were issued because drivers either did not have the necessary papers or equipment with them.
