Police capture a foreign couple who would be part of a human trafficking network

Two alleged members of a criminal human trafficking network were captured by members of the National Police in a property located on Los Alisos Avenue in the district of Los Olivos.

They are the married couple of Ecuadorian nationality Luis Alfonso Quispe Fernández and Marelis Narcisa Pilahuano Rodríguez who lived on the fourth floor of said building.

As a result of the police action, two teenagers of approximately 16 years of age who had been detained and forced into prostitution were rescued.

Police Colonel Juan Carlos Montufar, head of the Lima Norte Special Anti-Crime Brigade, explained to RPP that Quispe and Pilahuano would have sent the minors across the border with Ecuador, giving them a false identity in Peru.

During the intervention, PNP officers found firearms and marijuana inside the home that were made available to the prosecutor’s office for the respective investigation.
