The Head of the Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, stressed that those who claimed to be fugitives from the Bank Bali case, Djoko Tjandra do a quick test (rapid test) Covid-19 at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta.
According to Argo, during the inspection the person was accompanied by Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo who has now been removed from his position as Karokorwas PPNS Bareskrim Polri.
“Incidentally there were two people who came to Kramat Jati Hospital then were accepted by the doctor and then a rapid test was negative,” Argo told reporters at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday (7/17).
Previously it was reported that the medical examination for Covid-19-free purposes for Djoko Tjandra was carried out in the Prasetijo room in Criminal Investigation. However, Argo confirmed that the medical examination was in one of the police hospital rooms. He did not want to specify the room. Argo said that certainly Prasetijo accompanied him.
This free Covid-19 result will later be used by Djoko Tjandra as part of the travel document Prasetijo made. Djoko Tjandra used the travel permit to travel in Indonesia while still at large.
Previously, the Head of the Police Public Information Bureau Brigadier General Awi Setiyono explained that the medical examination was not conducted to Djoko Tjandra. This was confirmed after the police conducted an inspection around the location.
“The one who arrived was not Djoko Tjandra but claimed to be Djoko Tjandra. According to the doctor’s statement that the one who came with the one on TV was different,” Awi said.
They allegedly violated the code of ethics related to the arrival of fugitive Bank Bali Djoko Tjandra case in Indonesia. The removal of the two high-ranking officers was contained in a telegram letter (STR) number ST / 2076 / VII / KEP / 2020 dated July 17.
