This Sunday, 13.10.2024the crime thriller takes the ARD viewers back to Brandenburg: Im “Police call 110: waterways” Inspectors Ross and Rogov have to solve the murder of a student who was found in a canoe.

A dead student is found in a canoe on the banks of the Finow Canal near Eberswalde.
The two inspectors Vincent Ross and Karl Rogov do their job according to the rules: They interview people from the murdered woman’s social circle and possible witnesses, talk to the Polish student’s ex-boyfriend and roommate, her professor and two women who live on a ship could have seen something.
This time Ross and Karl are supported by a clever, attractive colleague from the water police who knows everything about the various canals and harbors in the area and is a great help to the officers from the German-Polish police base in Swiecko.

Was the student at the University for Sustainable Development in Eberswalde, who wrote her master’s thesis on the use of waterways and was seen at her professor Milan Günschow’s birthday party shortly before her murder, on the trail of a huge mess?
Surprisingly, there are traces of cocaine under the slain young woman’s fingernails, but none in her hair, which means that the student came into contact with the drug but did not consume it. When her cell phone is analyzed, it turns out that she was in the Eberswalde harbor shortly before her murder. In the crime thriller directed by Felix Karolus, there are increasing indications that she discovered something there that posed a deadly threat to her.
Peter Günschow, who works in the port and is the brother of the professor involved, finds himself at the center of the dull investigative work.

By the way, in the next “Polizeiruf 110” from Brandenburg, which has just been filmed, Inspector Ross is investigating again with his slightly strange colleague Sandra Luschke, played by the funny actress and cabaret artist Gisa Flake. The Sunday crime thriller “Polizeiruf 110: Wasserwege” consists practically only of conversations and comes to you over long stretches like filmed text. As good as no action the endless banter between film characters bothers them hardly any psychological depth win.
In addition, this failed crime thriller offers hardly any show value: Under an eternally gray Brandenburg sky, the limp film, in which waterways and a ship lift play a central role, drags itself like an overloaded old barge to the safe harbor. If you want to be really bored again, this is the right place for you.
“Waterways” only brings that one of four pistols a: It’s better to take the dog out again.
