Kabid Humas Polda Central Java Kombes Iqbal Alqudussy confirmed that there were police personnel at the site of the conflict in Palazzo Solo. Iqbal said police were standing guard as per Solo Palace’s request.
“Indeed there are guard members at the Palace as per the request of the Palace,” Iqbal told reporters on Sunday (12/25/2022).
Iqbal said members of the Central Java Regional Police have been trying to reconcile the warring parties. The conflict that occurred on Friday (12/23) night was said to have been triggered by the Solo Palace’s plan to close the Kamandungan, Jolotundo and other gates of Kasannan Palace in Solo.
“Members of Polri who are currently at the scene have been questioned by Propam,” Iqbal said.
Iqbal pointed out that at the time of the incident, no policeman was aiming a gun. LDA Chief Executive Kanjeng Prince (KP) Eddy Wirabhumi said a policeman pulled a gun on Paku Buwono XIII’s nephew BRM Suryo Mulyo
“I can point out that there were no members of the police who aimed their weapons at the incident,” he explained.
