Linz – Several incidents with pyrotechnics, a few short-term arrests and reports as well as a car doused with gasoline and set on fire – this is the Linz police’s assessment after Halloween night. The situation was “not comparable” to the riots last year, city police commander Karl Pogutter told APA on Wednesday morning. There were no riots and no attacks on the police, he told ORF. The incidents were concentrated in the south of Linz, but things remained quiet on the country road in the center.
